What is Yoga?

The word ‘Yoga’ is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘Yuj’, meaning ‘to join’

or ‘to yoke’ or ‘to unite’. As per Yogic scriptures, the practice of Yoga leads to the union of individual consciousness with that of the Universal Consciousness, indicating a perfect harmony between the mind and body, Man & Nature However, as a general rule of thumb, healthy practice for vinyasa yoga is usually around 3-5 times a week. This gives you adequate time for rest. Rest is crucial to recover, get stronger and maintain your health. [Speaking of rest, it is okay to take an entire week off from time to time.
